The aim of this study was to estimate the mechanical properties of hornbeam trees in three stem diameter classes include small, medium, and large trees in Patom district of Kheyrud forest. For this purpose, number of five trees in small (7.5-32.5 cm), medium (32.5-57.5 cm) and large (57.5-82.5 cm) diameter classes were selected and roots on both up and down sides (slope of 20-30 percent) of the trees were collected, then placed between two jaws of the Instron machine. Tensile strength test and tensile force were performed. The results showed that there is a positive power relationship between root diameter and tensile force. In all stem diameter classes at both sides of trees, tensile strength decreases by increasing root diameter based on negative power function. The results of covariance analysis showed that tensile force and tensile strength were significantly different among three stem diameter classes. Tensile force was higher in medium and small trees at up and down sides, respectively. While, in large trees tensile force in downside was more than upside. In medium trees, tensile strength were significantly higher in upside and downside (F=12.9, P<0.05) than small and large trees. Covariate factor (root diameter) was significant in all cases. The results of this study showed that stem diameter of trees and up and down sides of the trees affect the tensile force and tensile strength of hornbeam trees and it is possible to change the amount of tensile strength with age. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate changes in roots mechanical properties in different ages of trees in order to modeling the slope stability.}, keywords = {Kheyrud forest,Bioengineering,Root tensile strength,Root tensile force}, title_fa = {مقایسۀ ویژگی‌های مکانیکی ریشۀ درختان ممرز در طبقه‌های قطری مختلف}, abstract_fa = {کمّی‌سازی ویژگی‌های مکانیکی ریشه از مسائل مهم در مشکلات مربوط به پایداری دامنه‌ها و مدل‌سازی پایداری خاک است. هدف این پژوهش، برآورد ویژگی‌های مکانیکی ریشۀ گونۀ ممرز در سه طبقۀ کم‌قطر، میان‌قطر و قطور در بخش پاتم جنگل خیرود بود. بدین منظور پنج درخت از سه طبقۀ قطری کم‌قطر (5/7 تا 5/32 سانتی‌متر)، میان‌قطر (5/32 تا 5/57 سانتی‌متر) و قطور (5/57 تا 5/72 سانتی‌متر) انتخاب شد. نمونه‌های ریشه در دو سمت بالا و پایین (شیب 30-20 درصد) درختان جمع‌آوری شد و سپس میان دو فک دستگاه اینسترون قرار گرفت و آزمایش مقاومت کششی انجام پذیرفت و نیروی کششی ریشه‌ها ثبت شد. نتایج نشان داد که میان قطر ریشه و نیروی کششی، رابطۀ توانی مثبت و میان قطر ریشه و مقاومت کششی، تابع توانی منفی برقرار بود. بیشینۀ نیروی کششی در درختان میان‌قطر در سمت بالا و در درختان طبقۀ قطور و کم‌قطر در سمت پایین درخت مشاهده شد. در طبقۀ میان‌قطر، مقاومت کششی به‌طور معنی‌داری در سمت بالا و پایین بیشتر از دو طبقۀ دیگر بود و عامل کوواریت (قطر ریشه) در همۀ موارد معنی‌دار بود. نتایج این پژوهش نشان داد که عامل قطر درختان و همچنین سمت دامنه بر نیروی کششی و مقاومت ریشۀ درختان ممرز تأثیرگذار است و امکان تغییر در مقدار مقاومت کششی ریشه با افزایش سن وجود دارد؛ بنابراین پیشنهاد می‌شود که بررسی تغییرات ویژگی‌های مکانیکی ریشۀ درختان در قطرهای مختلف، در مدل‌سازی‌های پایداری دامنۀ خاک در نظر گرفته شود.}, keywords_fa = {Kheyrud forest,Bioengineering,Root tensile strength,Root tensile force}, url = {https://jfwp.ut.ac.ir/article_68877.html}, eprint = {https://jfwp.ut.ac.ir/article_68877_556b8328225357b2b0979f53f248d998.pdf} }
